Lizzy, my grill and pizza guru, taught me my latest and greatest trick: grilled middle eastern flat bread. I never thought to try grilling dough, but oddly, it works. If you have a gas grill, I cannot recommend this kitchen hack highly enough.

New Year's day is good for a few things: hang overs, good luck beans and resolutions. So as I sat at a sunny brunch at the Ferry Building in San Francisco, haunting menus for beans, when asked what my resolution was, I made a snap decision.

Growing up in an Indian household, we didn't do a whole of oyster-shucking, lobster-crushing, or fish-eating in general. And, while sushi is my absolute favorite food (ok, it's tied with NY-style pizza), seafood, is not really high on my must-eat list.
Raise a glass with me! Why, you ask? Because...well, I'm engaged!! The beau, Blake, got down on one knee on Friday night on the very rooftop we met on four years ago. Swoon. Not only that, but he then proceeded to surprise me with a gathering of all my local friends/family at his brother's house! I wasn't the only one surprised.
