Does anyone still make turkey at Thanksgiving? More and more I am hearing of foodies throwing down with decadent but non-traditional T-day feasts. We were no exception to the new normal, focusing our meal around fresh Californian Dungeness crab.

Our enormous veggie CSA delivery means that we often times are left with veggie odds and ends closing in on their time as acceptable foodstuffs. Pickling to the rescue! I am not talking about hipster canning, but of simple veggie pickling that allows you to extend the lives of veggies for a few weeks.
